Endorsements of skills
I humbly offer my unequivocal recommendation for Clara Stewart Moore. Clara is an incredibly skilled circle keeper and has been keeping circle for Hidden Water since April 2016. Clara radiates an innately powerful healing energy that is calm, steady and comes from a core value of generosity and service.
I met Clara Stewart in the Spring of 2016 when she joined a Hidden Water restorative justice circle for adults who have been impacted by childhood sexual abuse (CSA) that I was facilitating. I was immediately struck by how conscientious Clara was in her approach towards the circle process. She showed up with, authenticity compassion, and courage in the face of doing very sensitive painful personal work. At the conclusion of the second round of circles, Clara took the initiative and trained to be a Hidden Water circle keeper. She has been keeping a circle for Hidden Water ever since.
Clara was a founding member of our Identity Difference Council and has led affinity circles for Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC). Clara brings a unique perspective with a life experience that highlights a complex intersectionality. Given our sensitive work with individuals impacted by trauma, I have witnessed Clara manage challenging personalities and navigate conflict with grace and compassion. She is from the outset, very professional, solutions-oriented, and gives of her whole self.
Yours truly,
Michelle Gutierrez

“Clara Moore has been my trainer for the last 18 years. During that time I have found her to be a highly skilled, responsible and a fun professional. As a former school principal I have hired hundreds of people and been in the position of evaluating their skills and abilities. I have found Clara to have excellent credentials, a keen understanding of the body’s structure and highly developed repertoire of exercise and workout routines.
As a very tall woman, who tried for years to be shorter, I had several postural issues to deal with. These issues saw me falling often, developing a dowager’s hump in my back, as well as hip problems. Clara’s expert analysis established a program that targeted these problem areas in a comprehensive manner with exercises that were developmental in nature, built on my strength level and made the workout fun. As an exercise-adverse person that was not and easy task to accomplish. At this point my back is straight, my falling has been eliminated, as has my hip problems. In fact, my program with Clara is the only form of consistent exercise that I have ever followed.
Clara is an expert trainer who is a leader among trainers. I treasure the time we workout together.”

“Clara is simply the best. She will coach you on how to get fit, have good posture and healthy, strong, lean muscles. She is so much more than a personal trainer. She can watch you walk in the room and she will know exactly which muscles are tight and need to be rolled out on the foam roller. Some call her the “muscle whisperer.”
Without reservation, I can say that she changed my life. Before, I used to work out at the gym with heavy weights and do beach work outs (chest and arms). Clara showed me the power and value of the core. Now, everyday is core day. Never in my life before Clara did I see my abdominal muscles. Now I have a 6-pack and those side muscles too! It was a radical shift in philosophy and a whole lot of hard work but she lead me there. And I can’t forget to mention that she is a wonderful person who cares about everyone she works with.
You won’t find a better teacher than Clara.”

Clara has been involved with Hidden Water: a restorative justice response to child sexual abuse, since its inception in 2016. She was trained as a Circle Keeper by Hidden Water and has served to hold circle spaces for those who were harmed by Child Sexual Abuse every season since she completed her training in 2017.
She has been a stronghold for Hidden Water in terms of consistency, gentleness, inclusion, and creating safe spaces for others to heal. More recently, she has served as a leader in our Identity Difference Council and completed our Walking In Balance Training with Strong Oak - one of our indigenous leaders who supports Hidden Water in our understanding of oppression, decolonization, and inclusion.
Clara has spent the last two years holding circles for those who identify as BIPOC and who were harmed as children. The intersectionality of racial trauma and child sexual abuse has been an important space to hold for our participants. We are grateful for all the work Clara has done in this community and look forward to seeing how she takes her learnings to other spaces as the wisdom keeper she truly is.
If you have any other questions, I am happy to serve as a reference for Clara.
Sincerely, Elizabeth Clemants, Founder and Executive Director
